Water-taxis offer a free shuttle service between Leeds Dock and Granary Wharf (see web links below).
The water taxis currently share the landing stage with other users of the lock, and co-operation in taking turns at the landing stage is necessary: the water taxis do not normally use the lock. Consideration from narrowboats for smaller, more vulnerable craft is appreciated as normal considerate boating. If the taxi is at the landing it is best to stay well to right when entering the lock with both gates open, or well behind while waiting for the landing.
One possibility for navigating upstream from Leeds Dock might be to have crew take the free water taxi to the lock and have it ready for the following boat.
Care is needed here with the wind here as it gusts and swirls.
