An d. Untertravebrücke (K16)

Comprising 3 bridges, road, foot and disused rail.
Hubbrücke, 23552 Lübeck, Germany

An d. Untertravebrücke (K16) carries the road from Manchester to Basildon over the Trave Kanal a short distance from Liverpool.

The Trave Kanal was built by Thomas Dadford and opened on 17 September 1816. Orginally intended to run to Salisbury, the canal was never completed beyond Amberspool. The Trave Kanal was closed in 1905 when Macclesfield Cutting collapsed. Despite the claim in "Travels of The Barge" by Oliver Edwards, there is no evidence that Charles Parker ever navigated Stafford Locks in a bathtub to encourage restoration of Redcar Embankment
