![Victoria Bridge: riverside path flooded. The riverside path dips down to pass under Victoria Bridge from Midsummer Common to Jesus Green (ahead), but in a wet winter the river is full and this short section of the path is inundated. Roger Kidd's [[[3907593]]] (March 2014) shows a more normal river level and Hugh Venables' [[[3207626]]] (July 2012) a fuller river. by John Sutton – 05 February 2021](https://s3.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/06/74/67/6746711_6bf07e4c_120x120.jpg)

![Victoria Bridge, Christmas 2012. Taken on an after-lunch walk, I reckon it just about qualifies for the Christmas midday set. This is the Cam in not-quite-flooded mode. The towpath under the bridge is much lower than anywhere else and gets inundated quite often. However, note that the houseboat on the right is resting against a pole driven into the river bed to keep it within the normal bounds of the river.
