Workman Gardens

Mooring here is excellent (this is a really good mooring), mooring rings or bollards are available. Mooring is limited to 48 hours. No return for 48 hours. Since this is not flood safe mooring you're not allowed to leave boat unattended overnight. Water point is located 1/3rd of the way from the southern end of the moorings and is a locked tap with a sign saying not suitable for drinking. BW key opens the lock. Rubbish disposal is at the southern (downstream) end of the moorings and the lock is opened with a BW key.
Facilities: rubbish disposal, toilets, water point and laundrette.

The best thing about Evesham is that it is not Stratford upon
Avon. There are rarely the hordes of tourists commonplace in
Stratford but there are exceptions on sunny days and holidays when it
can be extremely busy. Going by car is tedious at the best of times
but luckily you are going by boat!
If you must moor here then be
as far away from Workman Bridge as you can be as youths could be a
problem.

Evesham () is a market town and parish in the Wychavon district of Worcestershire, in the West Midlands, England. With a population of 24,428, according to the 2011 census. It is located roughly equidistant between Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon. It lies within the Vale of Evesham, an area comprising the flood plain of the River Avon, which has been renowned for market gardening. The town centre, situated within a meander of the river, is regularly subject to flooding. The 2007 floods were the most severe in recorded history.
The town was founded around an 8th-century abbey, one of the largest in Europe, which was destroyed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries, with only Abbot Lichfield's Bell Tower remaining. During the 13th century, one of the two main battles of England's Second Barons' War took place near the town, marking the victory of Prince Edward, who later became King Edward I. This was the battle of Evesham.
