Mooring here is excellent (this is a really good mooring).
There is a bridge here which takes a minor road over the canal.

Down the hill from the bridge (or the steps behind the wharf) is
the main point of access across the River Dee to the town with its
shops, plentiful pubs and restaurants - as well as to the heritage
railway.
The railway, with its station at Berwyn, offers an
alternative approach via the historic Chain Bridge (restored in
2015), to Horseshoe Falls. This can be combined with the walk back
along the towpath to the basin, to make a circular route to see where
the canal starts.
There is a public footpath in Wern Road (north
of the canal) up to the castle ruins, Castell Dinas Bran, where
fantastic views of the town and valley can be seen.
