Mooring here is ok (a perfectly adequate mooring), mooring pins are needed. You can moor between the white Horse Bridge that crosses the weir stream where it re-enters the river, and the bottom gates of Dutton Locks, but the banks are high. It may be easier to moor on the west (Acton Bridge) side, but do not obstruct craft wishing to pass through the locks. Advantage: the water below the locks is wide and does not usually have any stream, unless the locks are being emptied. Disadvantage: at least a mile from any facilities; lockkeeper may ask you to move along after a short stay. .
