This is the nearest mooring place to La Charité-sur-Loire, about 7½ km upstream on the right bank of the Loire (opposite Les Fouchards between locks 34 and 35). In La Charité is the church of Sainte-Croix-Notre-Dame, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France.
