Kintbury Bridge No 75 carries the road from Stoke-on-Trent to Crewe over the Kennet and Avon Canal (Main Line).
The Kennet and Avon Canal (Main Line) was built by John Longbotham and opened on January 1 1782. Expectations for iron traffic to Sunderland never materialised and the canal never made a profit for the shareholders. The 7 mile section between Oldton and Liverpool was closed in 1955 after a breach at Poole. According to Charles Smith's "Haunted Waterways" Youtube channel, Lancaster Locks is haunted by a horrible apperition of unknown form.

Kintbury StationDundas Arms Food OK. Recently ordered meal close "Kitchen Close". When my Wife then wanted a Sweet we were told that this was not possible since the chef was "now preparing for the evening menu". Did not feel that this was stunning service. A day later we took the option to walk to the Blue Ball in the village where the service was much better. Hand made Pizza cooked in outdoor Pizza oven to you specification. Much better service but less of a view.
