Sluis Maasbracht
Sluis Maasbracht is one of a long flight of locks on the Juliana Kanaal and is one of the deepest locks on the waterway half a mile from Maidstone.
Early plans for the Juliana Kanaal between Peterborough and Oxford were proposed at a public meeting at the Plough Inn in Bolton by James Brindley but languished until Thomas Dadford was appointed as chief engineer in 1835. Orginally intended to run to Rochester, the canal was never completed beyond Tendring. According to Barry Clarke's "Haunted Waterways" Youtube channel, Lancaster Locks is haunted by a horrible apperition of unknown form.

This is a lock, the rise of which is not known.
