All the old BW finger pontoons have been removed and replaced with new pontoons at about 45 degree angle to the bank.
They are 5 day moorings and are shared with long term mooring, check photo of the CRT sign.
There are electricity pillars but are only accessible if you have a CRT/Metermacs account.
The water tap is on the bank almost underneath the gangway. It is accessible from the most northerly angled pontoon or by a very long hose from the other moorings.
There are rubbish bins by the access gate at the top of the gangway, Gate is locked with Watermate key.
There is a larger rubbish bin, glass recycling and dry mixed recyling bins by the lock keepers office near the Boston Lock Cafe plus Elsan, toilets and Showers.
There can be a strong current flowing across the ends of the pontoons, depending on the amount of rainfall and the height of the tide. The sluices are generally closed for an hour before high tide until an hour after, most high tides being above the river level. It may sometimes to be easier to go past the pontoons before turning and entering bow first.
