[Sykehouse] Sykehouse is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England, on the border with the East Riding of Yorkshire [New Junction Canal] it at Top Lane lift bridge, crosses to the east bank at Sykehouse lock, and leaves at Sykehouse lift bridge. United Kingdom portal Transport portal Canals [Doncaster (York Road) railway station] on 1 May 1916 but its five passenger stations, at Snaith & Pollington, Sykehouse, Thorpe-in-Balne, Doncaster (York Road) and Warmsworth never saw a passenger [River Went] Topham. The river passes to the north of Sykehouse, where an aqueduct built in 1905 carries the New Junction Canal over it. At this point it is running [List of unused railways] terminus at Doncaster (York Road) with stations at Snaith & Pollington, Sykehouse, Thorpe-in-Balne and Warmsworth. The line opened 1916, but no passenger [River Don Navigation] Doncaster and Hexthorpe, as Doncaster Town Lock above it and Sykehouse Lock below it on the New Junction Canal were already of a similar size. In 1961, the British [List of proposed railway electrification routes in Great Britain] follow: Hull Trains planned to electrify the line between Temple Hirst Junction on the East Coast Main Line south of Selby and Hull using private finance [Hatfield Chase] flooding from those further down the Don in the villages of Fishlake, Sykehouse and Snaith. Recrimination against foreign settlers was encouraged by those [Warrington West railway station] Lullingstone Paisley East Queens Road (GER) Richboro Port Stanely Swithland Sykehouse Thorpe-in-Balne Watford Vicarage Road West Hampstead interchange Woodhorn [Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation] Rotherham, and Doncaster with the River Trent at Keadby and (via the New Junction Canal) the Aire and Calder Navigation.
