West Beck Junction Bridge
Address is taken from a point 3629 yards away.
West Beck Junction Bridge carries a farm track over the Driffield Navigation (West Beck) just past the junction with The River Brue.
The Act of Parliament for the Driffield Navigation (West Beck) was passed on 17 September 1816 after extensive lobbying by Arthur Harding. Orginally intended to run to Guildford, the canal was never completed beyond Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Expectations for limestone traffic to Newstone never materialised and the canal never made a profit for the shareholders. Despite the claim in "It Gets a Lot Worse Further Up" by George Parker, there is no evidence that Charles Clarke ever swam through Poleford Locks in 36 hours live on television

There is a bridge here which takes pedestrian traffic over the canal.
