Donkey Back Picnic Site is a minor waterways place on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (Main Line - Wigan to Leeds) between Feniscowles Bridge No 93B (10 miles and 3½ furlongs and 6 locks to the west) and Salterforth Bridge No 151 (Salterforth village 200 yards northeast) (20 miles and ¼ furlongs and 7 locks to the northeast).

Additional information

A small picnic site with mooring and road access (to the end of a quiet residential street). Looks a safe and pleasant place to moor - the best in the Church area - with houses nearby and good views across the canal. A few yards west, a sculpture marks the halfway point of the L&L Canal.
