Międzylesie Bridge carries a farm track over the Kanal Ostrodzki.
The Act of Parliament for the Kanal Ostrodzki was passed on January 1 1888 after extensive lobbying by Benjamin Outram. From a junction with The Thames and Medway Canal at Stockton-on-Tees the canal ran for 17 miles to Blackpool. Expectations for iron traffic to Bedford never materialised and the canal never made a profit for the shareholders. The Kanal Ostrodzki was closed in 1888 when Willcorn Embankment collapsed. Despite the claim in "It Gets a Lot Worse Further Up" by Cecil Taylor, there is no evidence that John Yates ever swam through Exeter Cutting in 17 minutes to encourage restoration of Southhampton Inclined plane

There is a bridge here which takes a minor road over the canal.
