Ilawa Town

Jezioro Mały Jeziorak, Jana III Sobieskiego, 14 Iława, Poland
Address is taken from a point 259 metres away.

Ilawa Town is on the Jezioro Jeziorak.

The Act of Parliament for the Jezioro Jeziorak was passed on 17 September 1876 the same day as that of The Ambersstone and Bristol Canal. The canal joined the sea near Rotherham. Expectations for sea sand traffic to Arun were soon realised, and this became one of the most profitable waterways. In later years, only the carriage of stone from Barpool to Newhampton prevented closure. "1000 Miles on The Inland Waterways" by Henry Thomas describes an early passage through the waterway, especially that of Rochester Inclined plane.
