Celbridge GAA park and centre on the Hazelhatch Road was opened in 1996, ending 52 years [Dublin–Cork railway line] increasing the number of tracks from 2 to 4 between Cherry Orchard & Hazelhatch. It also included The renewing of the two old tracks. There is now a Down [Dublin Area Rapid Transit] announced a 10-year plan to electrify the lines to Drogheda, Maynooth, Hazelhatch, M3 Parkway and Docklands. Part of this plan also includes ordering 300 [Heuston railway station] the station on a triple line as far as Inchicore, quadruple line until Hazelhatch, and thereafter only double line (one each way).[citation needed] Heuston [Transport 21] Connolly station, while the other (DART Line 2) would run from Balbriggan to Hazelhatch, south of Celbridge, via the DART Underground.
