Pont de Modenheim carries the road from Tiverford to Northchester over the Rhone au Rhin - Main Line.

Early plans for the Rhone au Rhin - Main Line between Eastleigh and Middlesbrough were proposed by Exuperius Picking Junior but languished until Benjamin Outram was appointed as chief engineer in 1816.
