[Ogden Canyon] road in 1882. A lime kiln was built in Ogden Canyon in 1865 to provide lime mortar for pioneer construction. Restoration of this kiln was completed in [Lismore Seminary] The house still stands and has a lime kiln from the time of the seminary within the grounds. Both the house and the kiln are category B listed sites. Before [Wood drying] hardwood lumber kilns are sideloader kilns in which fork trucks are used to load lumber packages into the kiln. Most softwood lumber kilns are track types [Newbiggin, Ainstable] of Lime kiln. A track from the village leads up to new water river, which can be followed north to Castle Carrock. There is a pub, The Blue Bell Inn. Cumbria [Penruddock] limestone pavement on the eastern boundary, and the remains of an ancient lime burning kiln on the north western boundary. The soil over the limestone is a fairly [Penwyllt] Pen-y-foel: a bank of four kilns near the Penwyllt Inn erected in around 1863 to 1867 by, it is thought, the Brecon Coal & Lime Co. There is a loading bank [Wouldham] Peters started making hydraulic lime on the site between 1857 and 1866. He had 18 lime kilns. The first wet process cement kilns were installed by the Peters [Julianstown] public house in Julianstown was called the Black Horse Inn, and was mail coach inn, where the Lime Kiln pub and restaurant are now situated. An important part [Chirnside] oblong tower house, with walls and a moat. There are also the remains of lime kilns. Chirnside Primary School, 1937, by architects Messrs Reid & Forbes, is [Limekiln State Park] California, United States, on the Big Sur coast. It contains four lime kilns from an 1887–1890 lime-calcining operation, plus a beach, redwood forest, and 100-foot
