[Avontuur Railway] operations in 1965 to Loerie, later to Thornhill or Van Stadens River, the highest two-foot narrow-gauge railway bridge in the world. The motive power for [Manchester and Leeds Railway] section that opened was from Normanton to Hebden Bridge on Monday 5 October 1840. The North Midland Railway had opened its line to Leeds, using its own terminus [Heckmondwike Spen railway station] Spen Valley Greenway, which runs from Low Moor to Thornhill on the former Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway between the two stations. Both paths are part of [Thornhill railway station] Thornhill (for Dewsbury) Railway station, as it was latterly known since the closure (1930) of its sister Market Place Passenger Station in the town centre; [Ravensthorpe railway station] was called "Ravensthorpe and Thornhill" as L&Y had opened a station, Ravensthorpe, on their railway branch between Thornhill and Heckmondwike. As part of [Manx Northern Railway] a design similar to those used on the Isle of Man Railway. Given the number 3 and named Thornhill, it was built alongside the IOMR’s engine number 7 [Allahabad] Bridge (built 2001–04), is in Allahabad and connects the city to the suburb of Naini across the Yamuna. The Old Naini Bridge now accommodates railway [Beckermet] The earlier, at Wodobank near Thornhill, had a defensive motte and possibly an adjoining bailey enclosure. A railway line, itself now abandoned, obliterated [Rhymney railway station] (giving access to Cardiff Central via the Taff Vale Railway by 1864), with a link northwards to Rhymney Bridge (on the Merthyr to Abergavenny 'Heads of the Valley' [Peterborough railway station] Midland Railway trains began using the GNR station instead. The Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway (M&GNR) branch to Wisbech and Sutton Bridge opened
