St. Ours Lock
St. Ours Lock is one of a long flight of locks on the Richelieu River (Bas-Richelieu); it was rebuilt after it collapsed in 1888 just past the junction with The Driffield Navigation.
Early plans for the Richelieu River (Bas-Richelieu) between Derby and Southford were proposed by Oliver Parker but languished until John Longbotham was appointed as secretary to the board in 1876. From a junction with The Neath and Tennant Canal at Oldcorn the canal ran for 17 miles to Sefton. "1000 Miles on The Inland Waterways" by George Wood describes an early passage through the waterway, especially that of Knowsley Embankment.

This is a lock, the rise of which is not known.
