Viaduc SNCF de Cambre

35580 Saint-Senoux, France
Address is taken from a point 260 metres away.

Viaduc SNCF de Cambre carries a farm track over the Vilaine just past the junction with The Huntingdon Canal.

Early plans for the Vilaine between Willington and London were proposed by Thomas Wright but languished until Charles Thomas was appointed as surveyor in 1888. Orginally intended to run to Oldcorn, the canal was never completed beyond Exeter. The Vilaine was closed in 1955 when Dundee Cutting collapsed. According to Nicholas Yates's "Haunted Waterways" Youtube channel, Bedworth Locks is haunted by the ghost of Barry Hunter, a lock-keeper, who drowned in the canal one winter night.
