Glasson Visitor Moorings is on the Lancaster Canal (Glasson Branch).
The Act of Parliament for the Lancaster Canal (Glasson Branch) was passed on 17 September 1876 the same day as that of The Basingstoke Canal. In Cecil Hunter's "1000 Miles on The Inland Waterways" he describes his experiences passing through Boggin Tunnel during the war.
