Additional information

This arm is part of the original line of the River Soar. The replacement line, known as the Mile Straight, was created to the east of the original as a flood prevention scheme in the 1880s.

The near end of the arm is in active use by Leicester Rowing Club, whose base is on the north side, just after the entrance to the arm.
