[Llangollen] Llangollen (Welsh: [ɬaŋˈɡɔɬɛn] (listen)) is a town and community in Denbighshire, Wales. It is situated on the River Dee at the edge of the Berwyn range [Ysgol Dinas Brân] bilingual co-educational secondary school in Llangollen, Denbighshire, Wales. It serves the town of Llangollen and the surrounding areas including Corwen [Corwen] beneath the Berwyn mountains. The town is situated 10 miles (16 km) west of Llangollen and 13 miles (21 km) south of Ruthin. At the 2001 Census, Corwen had a [National Eisteddfod of Wales] 1834, and the Abergavenny Eisteddfodau of 1835 to 1851, and The Great Llangollen Eisteddfod of 1858, but the National Eisteddfod of Wales as an organisation [Ellesmere Canal] section is now called the Llangollen Canal; even though historically its builders had no intention of sending boat traffic to Llangollen. The branch, from which [St Margaret's School, Edinburgh] tradition, and in 1984 the school choir won in the Youth Choir section. Llangollen International Eisteddfod.
