The ancient and historic market town of Oundle offers a wide range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, public houses, theatre, cinema, bookshop, medical centre, dentists, and dispensing chemists. The town centre has many fine stone buildings, some of which form part of Oundle School, a co-educational independent school founded in 1556 by the Worshipful Company of Grocers of the City of London.
