[Frodingham railway station] Frodingham railway station was a railway station in Frodingham, Lincolnshire, England. It was open by the Trent, Ancholme, and Grimsby Railway on 1 October [Gunness] Gunhouse lane, in 1883. Here is a wharf and jetty for the shipment of iron ore, which is brought by rail from Frodingham, and at Neap is a staithe, or landing [North Lindsey Light Railway] its own station in Scunthorpe at Dawes Lane some 1⁄2 mi (0.80 km) from Frodingham on the Great Central Railway's Manchester to Cleethorpes route (now the [West Beck] as it rises in the foothills of the Yorkshire Wolds. After reaching Frodingham Beck at Emmotland, it becomes called the River Hull. It is noteworthy [Driffield Navigation] craft on the Navigation was the vessel Ousefleet, delivering coal to Frodingham Wharf during the period to December 1951. With the demise of commercial navigation [River Hull] Landing to its mouth is navigable.
