Old Ford Locks - Hertford Union

Basically this is to carry on the post from the discussion topic on the Old Ford locks where we've run out of space to carry on the conversation.

I really don't have anything much to add, except that I would have preferred to make 'Old Ford Three Locks' a lock-flight feature rather than an area.

If Steve could correct this I'd appreciate it. I can't see an obvious way for a user to delete the Area.

I think that involves editing the database directly - I think you can probably still create the three locks as a feature and then I can dig into the database and delete the idea.

OK - I'll have a look at the Database and see how easy it is to remove an area (I should know as we use areas in the enhanced POI system).... I was going to do it this evening but ended up doing 2 hours of on call work.

On names, just to be clear at the moment this is how I'm using them:

Old Ford Locks No 19 is the lock on the Lee Navigation
Old Ford Lock No 8 is the lock on the Regent's Canal
Old Ford Tidal Locks are the defunct locks on the Old River Lea
Old Ford Three Locks are the flight of locks on the Hertford Union Canal

I've now manually deleted the area (and then cleared up the mess I made in doing it!).
