Title: Sharing a route
Post by: Ditchcrawler on May 02, 2021, 10:07 AM
I have just planned my next 14 days and wanted to share the plan on my blog in case people wanted to meet up. I saved the blog as public and then published the link https://canalplan.uk/cgi-bin/canal.cgi?current_state=loaded&lm=itin on my blog http://nbharnser.blogspot.com/2021/05/fazeley-junction.html

When people click this link there is no route  just a notice saying there must be a start point and an end. When I am logged on to canalplan and go down the menu to load the saved blog the same link is used and it works OK

So you go to save the route - choosing to make it public with no key.

(https://canalplan.org.uk/forums.old/img/members/20960/mini_r1.png) (https://canalplan.org.uk/forums.old/img/members/20960/r1.png)

and it gives you this

(https://canalplan.org.uk/forums.old/img/members/20960/mini_r2.png) (https://canalplan.org.uk/forums.old/img/members/20960/r2.png)

which gives you this link

But it does look like following that link sometimes doesn't bring the route up properly if you are not logged in.

So its probably worth logging as a bug - which I have done
