Caledonian Canal

The Caledonian Canal is a commercial waterway and is part of the Waterways of Mainland Britain.
It runs for 62 miles through 29 locks from Loch Linnhe (where it continues and joins the Sound of Mull) to Beauly Firth (where it continues to join the North Sea).
The maximum dimensions for a boat to be able to travel on the waterway are 149 feet and 6 inches long and 38 feet and 3 inches wide. The maximum headroom is 114 feet and 10 inches. The maximum draught is 15 feet and 10 inches.
