An absolutely enormous hole

I took the name for this from the Waterways World Guide, I found it hard to come up with anything more descriptive than "big hole". In summer 2002 there was activity, and a lot of the vegetation had been cleared, making it easier to see the hole without standing on the roof. Perhaps they are going to make the hole even bigger.
