There are five locks in this flight but many people seem to misread their guide and think there are only 4. The Sportsman pub is canalside just above lock 3 but mooring is limited. The approach southbound is via a blind corner through a narrow bridge hole (26) and there isn't a lock landing. The bank beyond bridge 26 is overgrown and there are underwater obstructions. The best approach is to pick up / drop the crew off in the lock tail as there is no towpath under the bridge.
