The basin has changed enormously in recent years

This photo shows the basin, which used to be known as the Regent's Canal Dock, in 1999. To the right of the picture is the exit to Limehouse Lock and the Thames, in the background the Regent's Canal enters from the left, and the Limehouse Cut (which was attached to the Basin in the 1960s - previously it had its own lock to the Thames) enters from the right.
