Deptmore lock from the bottom

This lock used to be known as Deepmoor Lock.

I lived there between 1960/1963.

One of the most isolated locks on the system, although new owners have created a track to the nearest road, shame.

This is also one of the deepest locks on the S&W at 10'3".

The original BW Lock Keeper, Mr Parsons, moved from here to the next lock down at Tixall in about 1960.

My wife and I have been through here many times since.

Photograph taken by Chrissie on 15 February 2015 and was added to the database on Friday the 22nd of July, 2016
