What is believed to have at one time been the lock keepers cottage at Shipley Lock on the Erewash Canal which was my home from 1952 to 1958.

The Nottingham Canal and river Erewash were only just a few minutes walk away when I lived there unfortunately the Nottingham Canal has become abandoned but is still used as a walkway and nature reserve
