Locking down is OK, as long as you can turn sharp right to the landing platform. Locking up is a different matter, as the chamber is deep and there are no ground paddles to fill the lock. Keep back from the gates, use a rope to steady the boat and fill slowly - even so, there's a lot of turbulence!
