Rasing the joey 'Ringo' for the second time !

Black Country Living Museum arranged for the arm to be stanked off, and two huge diesel pumps attempted to lower water level in the arm sufficiently for a number of joeys to be refloated. Unforgettably 'Ringo' plugged holes leaked quicker than the pumps allowed, hence allowed to re-sink on the mud bank until next day allowed us the opportunity to re-float.

Technique was to pump water into the joey Graham Whorton (god bless this gent RIP) standing in, thus sink a foot or two, use a tree pulling winch from the bow, then pump the water out of the floating joey, pulling the sunken joey 'Ringo' upright on the mud, large petrol pump then took over.
