Navigational Notes

  • Jesus Lock is closed and will remain so for much longer* The lock island is in need of expensive repair and therefore both Jesus and Baites Bite are closed - "temporarily", although it is unclear how many years this will be.

Navigation by powered vessels above Jesus Green Lock is prohibited except for one day per year, due to the large number of punts. This is typically Christmas Day or occasionally Easter Sunday

Access may be granted during the winter as far as the head of navigation at Mill Pit, with 48hrs notice.

For further information see the Cam Conservators website (https://www.camconservancy.org/events-diary), and the document Navigating the Cambridge Backs.
