I think that's a result of IE not supporting "arrow functions". I've made a tweak to the live code, can you try again and see if it is still causing problems.

Peter Stockdale (reporter)

Thanks for your efforts Nick - but all is not well on/with IE yet. If it would help, please let me know if you need a more detailed report and the content needed therein. Regards Pete

Nick Atty (administrator)

Two things you could do - one is tell me of a sample cruise than fails and where exactly (then I can double check that it's IE11 specific and not just a glitch with a particular place on the route).

Second, and a bit more conplicated, at the start of the cruise press "f12" and you should get a debugging window. Run the cruise until it fails, then copy anything that is shown in the "console" tag to here.

Peter Stockdale (reporter)

Thanks Nick - back early evening - sunshine calls some rose pruning !!!

Good afternoon Nick -- OK (1)------ Shady Oak to Cheshire Cat.

Starts with a pic of the pub, fails with a pic of Bates Mill Br - ie one change of image using the auto option. Nothing seems to happen at all on manual-ie the back/forward arrows unresponsive.--

(2)------ Pressing F12, I get the text below.

Means not a lot to me (:-(--- I have run the same route using Firefox and all seemed to go well until the last bridge then it wouldn't make the final leap to the Cat !!
I have checked using both browsers on other routes and the same problem occurs with IE.

Let me know if I can assist further -Thanks and Good Luck ! Punctured Pete

Is it still broken?

That's not what I'd expect from f12 - that's the source code of the page, not an error log.

The Firefox thing of stopping one place short was a general vcruise problem that I've fixed.

Can you follow these instructions and see what you find (if this is still a problem)

You can turn it off again afterwards!

Peter Stockdale (reporter)

Yes - it is still broken (:-(
I will follow the instructions in the link as requested.

I will report back tomorrow - many thanks

Nick Atty (administrator)

I've just run it from Crooke to Wigan Pier on automatic on a laptop with IE11 and - apart from the timer not stopping when it reaches the end - it worked perfectly.

Peter Stockdale (reporter)

Good Evening Nick -- I have just run Crooke to Wigan pier on both IE and Firefox on my desktop on automatic. IE - no go - Firefox just fine apart from timer not stopping, as you found. I have inspected the link you give and cannot follow what it suggests, at all.
I would need a "tailor made for dummies" version of instructions to assist in this manner further.
Apologies -- Pete

Nick Atty (administrator)

And I have a heap of errors for virtual cruise and marker places, which I've never seen before but which suspiciously were from just before you posted your update. Are you on BT Internet?

In which case it might be nothing to do with IE, but be about having "show marker places" turned on. Will explore more tomorrow (today!)
